Rebuilding Hope: Stand with IChartiable to Help a Community Rise from the Ashes

On the night of  April 21st, 2025, tragedy struck a quiet neighborhood when a violent gunfire exchange erupted between military forces and suspected armed groups. As families cowered in fear, hiding from the chaos unfolding outside, no one could have imagined that a second disaster was looming just hours away.

In the early hours of the next morning, a fire—believed to be a result of the night’s violence—broke out on one side of a home. It spread rapidly, engulfing multiple houses in flames. Brave neighbors did their best to fight the fire, but it was too late. By sunrise, entire homes had been reduced to ashes. Everything—furniture, clothes, school supplies, personal belongings, and precious memories—was lost in the blaze.

Miraculously, no lives were lost, but the devastation left families homeless and hopeless.

For many of these families, this tragedy didn’t just destroy their homes—it erased their sense of safety and stability. The road to recovery is long and difficult, and they cannot walk it alone.
